Erasmus+ Training Seminar for pre-primary teachers in Bulgaria (30/11-03/12/2021)

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program titled "CLIL Inclusive: Migrant children in CLIL classes", 4 pre-primary education teachers attended a four-day training seminar in Plovdiv, Bulgaria from November 30th to December 3rd, 2021.

The seminar titled "Implementing CLIL in Pre-Primary education: Studying examples of good practice" was held at Anglia School by school instructors and the principal Keith Kelly. The participants had the opportunity to work individually and collaboratively to achieve the objectives of the seminar. They observed lessons and prepared CLIL lesson plans for various subjects of the Cyprus Preschool Education Curriculum (3 years - Pre-Primary). They actively participated in all learning activities and focused on the inclusion of immigrant children in CLIL classes. Part of the educational experience was discovering the socio-cultural and historical heritage of Plovdiv in many interesting ways, such as food tasting, folk dancing and visiting places of interest.

The participants stated that the seminar was extremely beneficial and that it enhanced their professional development.

“I hope that the impact of my training will initially be visible in my classes and my pupils. I will be sharing my experience and knowledge with fellow colleagues through presentations at staff meetings, in-service training, workshops and seminars as well as presentations at conferences."(E.)
